Overview
This position will be responsible to run new formulations in the lab and test them as per the specifications or benchmarked product. You will also support pilot trial batches, monitoring and developing new test methods, quality control criteria, and manufacturing instructions for chemicals, Adhesives & Sealants.
Duties and Responsibilities

Run new formulations in the lab based on local requirements – Sealants and Adhesives.

Document the results of the tests in the form of a test report in a professional manner.

Set up laboratory equipment and instrumentation needed for tests with minimal supervision.

Work out additional technical data such as weatherability, chemical resistance/compatibility, and other relevant material properties.

Assist in the scale-up from laboratory scale to full production.

Place orders to the Test Centre and other internal or external units for specific tests.

Recognize irregularities, product problems, etc., and communicate them properly.

Consult with Senior Technical and R&D Colleagues regarding lab projects/activity and provide appropriate follow-up.
Education
-
B.Sc./M.Sc. in Chemistry, Polymers, or Sciences.
Experience
-
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in R&D, Application Test, customer support, or technical service in the relevant market field of Specialty Chemicals, Adhesives, and Sealants (Preferably Polyurethane / SMP / Epoxy / Acrylics).
Skills
-
Hands-on experience in running and testing formulations in the lab.

Strong collaborator and team player.

Good communication in English.
Knowledge

Proficient in MS Office, DoE, etc.

Methodical and accurate documentation.

Good verbal and written communication skills.
